We are the Greathouse Family + you could say that our farming roots run deep. My husband, Charlton, is a 5th generation farmer & I, Michaela, am a 5th generation farmer. We currently farm 120 acres in Albion, Illinois alongside our two boys [with another baby on the way]. We take great pride in our farm + prioritize using as many sustainable practices as possible to make sure that it is well cared for. We want to leave our farm better than we found it for the next generation. We look forward to connecting local food with you, local people!

“It really is the best pork I’ve ever had. The thick cut pork chops may as well be steaks and the bacon is 100x better than any bacon I’ve ever bought from the store. We usually smoke the shoulder and the ham but this year we saved a lot of money on lunch meat by sliced the ham really thin into sandwich slices. Cost wise we for sure save money given the amount of meat we get! Overall, 10/10 would recommend getting a hog through Greathouse Grazing Acres!” A. Schroeder
